This project seeks to create the Houses4Autism Educational Toolkit, which comprises two key components: a Curriculum & Handbook and an interactive VR game. The goal is to enhance the knowledge, skills, and competencies of adult educators who work with individuals with autism. By utilizing both theoretical and practical learning methods, the project aims to equip educators with the tools to better train autistic individuals.
The VR game will simulate real-life situations and environments, allowing users to practice creating autism-friendly living spaces at home and navigate everyday scenarios. This dual approach will support autistic individuals in developing essential daily living skills, ultimately empowering them to live more independently without the constant supervision of parents, guardians, nurses, or caregivers.
Through this project, we aim to foster greater autonomy and confidence in autistic individuals, promoting self-reliance and an improved quality of life.
